I started voice lessons at two, piano at four, and cello at ten. I graduated from the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities and then earned my Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from Appalachian State University.
My background is classical, but the music I’ve always gravitated toward is blues, jazz, old rock, folk, and pop. Billie Holiday, Ma Rainey, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles, and Diana Krall are some of the artists who have shaped my sound.
Today, I sing and play both acoustic and an NS Design NXT electric cello, creating stripped-down arrangements that feel warm, relaxed, and a little different from the original, giving the audience a "coffee-shop" sound. I’ve been performing around Charleston, SC since 2017.
I graciously thank my parents, Kevin & Meri, who are my biggest supporters.
